Hellsing VS Hellsing ultimate.
Hellsing : relatively enjoyable, I fell in love with the non existing pairing of integra and alucard. Confusing, but I became an alucard fan girl/boy immediately.
Hellsing ultimate aka hellsing anime ova : Everything so much more explained. Better graphics. More explicit ( more bloody (yea!) More erm... coughs* indiscreet) Not recommended for little kids, aka kids below four. I believe any kid older should handle it like a boss. ok. kidding. depends on individual.
More true to manga ( as commented by viewers, yet to read it). More characters.
It is very obvious of seras' s fondness towards alucard, much more compared to hellsing anime. Integra is more cold here somehow( & tanner). I watched most of the ovas, but failed to complete it. So I can't tell more.
Which to watch first? Many would say Hellsing anime, so that you will not be disappointed after hellsing ultimate. Because the graphics, plot is clearer in hellsing ultimate. I watched Hellsing anime first, but ... hey. I was still sort of disappointed at hellsing ultimate. I get to know everything better, and it felt more of an explanation than a story at times (@ ep1 ), and the sequence of stuff is different (don't expect it to follow the same). Can't help feeling this way.
By the way, I reccomend hellsing fans to read Dracula, I went to read it today. It mentions of Van Helsing somewhere, and the evil eye and such, somehow let you feel that this anime has some depth. lol. thanks for reading!! :)
